Ecommerce retailer expands into .ro category rankings
A Northern European home-goods retailer entered Romania with thin local authority. A six-month campaign of category-relevant placements moved 40+ commercial terms and lifted revenue from organic by 89%.
Challenge
Where things stood
NordCart translated product pages but had fewer than 40 Romanian referring domains. Category pages for lighting, textiles, and storage sat between positions 25 and 40. Marketplace competitors dominated local content hubs.
Strategy
What we executed
We prioritized lifestyle and home-improvement publishers, used niche edits into aged buying guides, and ran guest articles around seasonal Romanian renovation cycles. Local citation cleanup supported brand SERP consistency for Bucharest warehouse searches.
Results
Before and after metrics
Category organic revenue from Romania grew 89%. Average position across 42 tracked commercial terms improved from 31.2 to 9.7. Referring domains rose from 38 to 101. Sitewide organic visibility (Ahrefs OR) roughly doubled.

“They rejected half of our wishlist because traffic did not check out. That honesty paid off. Category pages picked up 22 positions on average.”
